I Still Call Australia Home

Peter Allen once wrote a song titled  " I Still Call Australia Home". It has become the signature song for Qantas. It has appeared in various advertising campaigns over the last 12 or so years. Here are some of them (The year dates are approximate)

2009

The latest ad in the campaign opens with Tyus Arndt, from the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir singing the first verse in a Torres Straits language, Kala Lagaw. The second verse, in English, includes choristers from the National Boys Choir , Australian Girls Choir and the Gondwana National Indigenous Children's Choir.

This advertisement was first seen during the 1998 Commonwealth Games and also at the 1999 Superbowl. It features the Australian Girls Choir and National Boys Choir. It was the most expensive Australian ad ever made (USD 3 million).

1997

This 3 minute ad features some of Australia’s best including Kate Cerebrano, Jack Jones, James Blundell and trumpeter James Morrison.

Humour

The Chaser doing what they do best performed their own version commenting on Qantas’s overseas outsourcing of jobs.
